Ron Brown actually had a strained hamstring during that Olympics and had beaten Carl Lewis on occasion that summer leading to Olympics. He was 4th in 100m but got his Gold in the relay.
I recall Brown in his first game as Frosh for ASU. I think it was mop up duty. He took an INT to the house, blowing past everyone. I remember reading in the paper the next day that he had world class speed, having already run in Europe during that prior summer.
So, BR - did I touch on anything you didn't already know? Somehow I don't think so.
Go Maroon n Gold!
