... was to slice & dice it a little deeper. He was pointing out that Covid has been proven much less deadly than most all flu strains to the young and healthy, and they appear to rarely be significant carriers, the reason schools are reopening all over much of the world.
On the other hand, it is more deadly to the old, and those with certain underlying health conditions of all ages, particularly those in long term care facilities.
Rather than staying at 30,000 feet and simply comparing deaths across all groups, flu vs Covid, one school of thought is to focus on protecting the at-risk, and letting those with lower risk than a typical flu live their lives, go to school, etc, with om precautions.
BTW, can you tell me how many flu and pneumonia deaths thee are this year to date? I cannot find them anywhere, and sure hope they are not being miscategorized, even slightly.
