I would have thought that Colorado School of Mines would have made this list before NM Tech. It now offers a number of STEM careers and had always boasted of its high starting salaries for its grads.
I had a great HS counselor that lined up a number of academic scholarship offers for me, including Colorado a school of Mines. But in the end, it was hard to top the quality of the ASU School of Engineering for the price. I still consider that the golden age of education when it was possible to gain a quality education at a state university without you or your parents having to incur a lifelong debt. But I do sometime wonder what might have been if I would have accepted a scholarship to a more prestigious university. Or joined the circus.
