I was the opposite, Gilbert_Sundevil. I was pissed after the loss. In the first half, when ASU was getting dominated 0-17, I felt like, the Sun Devils have played one game and UCLA has played 4 games, so I somewhat expected it.
When ASU came out for the second half and started to dominate the Bruins, then took the lead at 18-17 with 4:26 to go in the game, I thought ASU was going to win the game. However, Groundhog Day happened all over again. Just like the 1997 Rose Bowl against Ohio State, and game one of the 2020 season at USC, ASU's defense FAILED to get a stop with the game on the line. UCLA's offense had done nothing for the entire second half, then as soon as ASU gets the lead, the Bruins drive 75 yards in 11 plays, eating up over 3 minutes on the clock, to score the game winning touchdown. I left the bar that I was at very upset and pissed off, which made me feel good overall, because it reminded me that I still care.
Now, I just hope we can beat the U of A on Friday night in Tucson. I think ASU is the better team, but I've been through a lot of these rivalry games, and I've seen bad U of A teams beat good ASU teams (see 2004 as an example of what I'm talking about with that statement). Go Sun Devils!
