Recruiting has become a cold business. Schools like ASU churn out 10 times more offers that they can sign. Then they cull through the commits trying to optimize the final 25.
ASU signed predominantly 3-star recruits today. Could it be that Edwards propensity for throwing back committed recruits influenced these 3-star players to sign early before being possibly being tossed out later in the recruiting season? Meanwhile, the blue chip players with multiple offers from quality P5 schools hang onto their ASU offers as Right of First Refusal to see if they can improve their positions before the January signing day. I hope HermÕs strategy does not backfire.
Meanwhile USC signed 19 kids today. 12 were 4-star recruits and another was 6-6 385 lbs OG Maximus Biggs of powerhouse St Johns Bosco. Recruiting is a war of keeping up with the Jones - or in this case the Trojans.
