The NCAA waived all restraints on bowl teams for 2020. So, 12 out of 14 SEC teams are going to bowl games, the only two that aren't are LSU, who has a self imposed bowl ban for this season only, and Vanderbilt, who's 0-9. Technically, Vandy could go to a bowl game, if they were offered? I don't like teams attending bowl games with losing records, but more than 20 teams have opted out of bowls this year, including ASU, USC, Boise State, SMU, Washington, Stanford, Boston College, Kansas State, Pittsburgh, and Utah, to name a few.
Army, who's 9-2 accepted a bid to the Independence Bowl in Shreveport, Louisiana, but that bowl game was cancelled because they couldn't find an opponent for Army to play. I feel bad for Army because they've had a very good season and deserve to be in a bowl game one hell of a lot more than teams like Arkansas, Tennessee, and Mississippi State do, in my opinion. Go Sun Devils!
