At 83 and 82 my wife and I got our first shot (Moderna) on the 5th at our local junior college (Shasta). As we pulled into the large parking lot and saw it full of cars, we instantly thought, "Yikes, a long wait".
They vaccinated over 1,000 people that day. Like the rest of you, we found it a great experience. The whole thing took place in the gym. As we finished our shots, we were ushered to refreshment tables with water, gatorade and small bags of pretzels, fruit bars, nuts and bottles of water or gatorade and then on to a seating area to wait 15 minutes before leaving.
We had an appointment for 8:45 am and we were gone in 50 minutes. Great job and no after effects except a slightly sore arm for about a day and a half! Second shot schedused for March 5.
