For years, Hurley may have neutralized his 6-8 forwards in his Guard U offense by playing them 20 feet from the basket.
BUT THIS YEAR Hurley was forced to play Lawrence as a traditional forward. Playing closer to the basket, he shot 52% from the floor, average 8.1 points a game and led the team with 115 rebounds. When used as a traditional forward, Lawrence became a valuable contributor.
