I have become a Trenton Bourguet fan. He first came to my attention during his junior year at Marana High. He threw for something like 3,000 yards and 38 TDs. I had hoped that he would have a growth spurt, but that did not happen. He wrapped up his HS career with over 7,600 passing yards and I think 80 TD passes. He was also the point guard on the basketball team. But despite being a great athlete, schools backed off from recruiting a 5-11 QB. As an ASU walk-on he worked his way from practice squad to backup QB. Watch his mechanics. He has a quick compact throwing motion that leads to very good accuracy. And he has the vision of a point guard.

5-11? If itís good enough for Russell Wilson, itís good enough for me. If Duffy wants to come to ASU and compete, good for him. But he better understand that nobody gets a free pass to a starting job from this football coaching staff. Daniels, Bourguet, Collins, McLemore are all competitors because that is the personality of this team. That is the program that Duffy must be willing to accept.
