Boyd is not in charge of the football program. His primary responsibility is the Champion Life program. That is a student athlete development program that evolved from his excellent academics program. Football oversight is the responsibility of Football Leadership Management which was comprised of Anderson, Boyd and Scottie Graham. You canít indict one without implicating the others. Yet somehow Anderson has kept his name far away from this football mess, and strangely enough from his friend, Edwards.
From the original Edwards announcement -
The New Leadership Model will allow for resource sharing and strategic planning between the football staff and administrators who are directly involved with the program. The administrative division will be primarily composed of Anderson, Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director Jean Boyd and Senior Associate Athletics Director Scottie Graham. The sport division will operate with an experienced and senior football administrator, Senior Associate Athletic Director Tim Cassidy, helping to manage day-to-day operations, along with a variety of staffers responsible for player development, player personnel, and recruiting, among other areas.
If ASU needs to clean house, find the coaching ringleader. And there are at least 77 *Directors* within the Athletic Department. That is a good place to start.
