I first started going to ASU football games in 1970 (Peach Bowl team). My love for ASU football started in the days of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). The WAC was made up of 8 teams: Wyoming, Colorado State, UTEP, New Mexico, Utah, BYU, Arizona, and Arizona State. I fell in love with ASU football under Frank Kush and the years of winning WAC Championships and going to the Fiesta Bowl, in which ASU won 4 Fiesta Bowls in 5 trips as the WAC Champion (from 1971-77).
BYU was a big part of those childhood memories for me. Therefore, since I've never been to BYU to see a football game, I decided to travel to see ASU play BYU in Provo, Utah this season. I never traveled there when I was a kid in the 1970's, so I'm going now to support the Sun Devils. Go Sun Devils!
