This is a scenario that sort of gets everybody off the hook.
* ASU wins at least 2 of its remaining 3 for an 8/9-win regular season.
* Ray Anderson declares his Pro Model a success even though ASU only goes to the LV Bowl.
* Based on closed door negotiations, Herm Edwards retires without ASU having to pay his remaining years. Herm gets to leave without any admission of guilt and his reputation intact.
* Anderson fires all the assistant coaches, stating that the new HC needs the freedom to hire his own staff. They all leave with a year's pay if they leave quietly.
* The NCAA investigation goes nowhere because the football department has been gutted.
* Ray Anderson gets a bonus because his Pro Model was so successful and the NCAA investigation met a dead end.
* The Sun Devil Fanbase is encouraged to Get On The Train behind the new coach that will need 4 or 5 years to turn the football program into a Football Championship contender.
