I'm kinda a hiking nut, probably hike around 350 days a year despite my age. Not going to let the number stop me, plan to keep at it until I cant.
I've seen a ton of critters on the trails, but had never seen a fox in AZ either until that game.
Regularly see rattlers in season, desert tortoises, javelina, hawks, eagles, owls, bobcats, roadrunners, chuckwallas, yotes, deer, jacks, cottontails, etc
Less often ... gila monsters, red racers, elk, wild turkey, bighorns, etc.
I know the mtn lions are out there, but have not seen one. I'm sure a number of them have seen me. I hike prepared for one on more remote hikes.
Love the desert wildlife. Amazing how they thrive, even in summer temps.
