It is only one person who is predicting 9-3. Several others are far more realistic. We have several people here each year who are forecasting near undefeated seasons. Are they any less myopic than our unwashed brethren down south?
The truth is that a football season starts with talent, preparation and coaching and ends with luck, injuries and bad calls. Get a few of those latter things going your way and a mediocre season becomes memorable. They go the other way and ... coaches get fired.
Is a 9-3 possible for them ... maybe, but an awful lot of things would have to fall into place and that's just not going to happen. Most in that thread were predicting 6-6 or 7-5 and that may, with a few lucky breaks.
But let's speculate about our own team for now.
