My dog killed a large rat in the park on a walk today. After spotting it, she terrorized it, toyed with it, then picked it up and shook it while it squeaked like a squeaky ball, then when it finally stopped squeaking, she dropped it and left if for the detritivores.
It reminded me of our head to head competitions with the rats this year so I thought I'd share. :-)
While this true story sounds a little cruel, keep in mind it was a rat. She is a very nice dog to people, other dogs, etc, but she likes nothing better than rat hunting. She has an all gold coat as well. I should have named her Sparky. Needless to say, there are no rats around my house :-)
