(G) My opinion is that was the fastest Sun Devil team on both sides of the ball in ASU history. The defense spoke for itself. Luginbill could get away with crazy blitzes because the speed ASU had covered any mistakes. The also had the Human Mistake Eraser at free safety, a 6-3/220 lbs. safety by the name of David Fulcher. Kid was a freak of nature. The offense had Ron Brown, who anchored the gold-medal winning U.S. 4x100 meter relay team -- 1984 world record time of 37.83. Ron may have been the single fastest ASU player ever. The backs were dynamite. ASU had a a young OC by the name of Mike Martz who knew how to get the most out of QB Todd Hons by utilizing all that speed.
