I graduated in 94 and ASU has totally changed. I dont necessarily think for the better. It seems like the university is his little experiment and when it goes into the toilet...the residents and studetns of arizona are there to pay for the broken peices.
If your rationale to raise tuition is simply "we are still in the lower half"...this is not a guy I am in favor of.
Did we need more updated buildings that cost millions...I would say probably not...Do we need to be the biggest university ...no...We need a place where students of arizona can go and get a quality education for a reasonable price.
I dont think he necessarily has this in his mind.
