Wanted to post on this year's schedule but before I do that, I been noticing all the projections for the football team for next year,kind of interesting but would you not think that they would at least wait until after LOI day on Feb 4.I think some of the new incoming recruits would play a big part on determining the success of next year's team!
Last year when the rating came out to determine the top 8 to host the regionals & Super Regionals ASU came out 9th, the reason was their RPI,this year ASU will try to strength their RPI by playing a tougher nonconference schedule!
ASU will open the season on Feb 5 hosting the Kajikawa Classic, top team they will face in the Kajikawa is Texas on Sunday Feb 8.ASU will face Oklahoma in the Littlewood Classic the following week facing the Sooners in back to back games on Feb 14 & 15.
ASU will face Minnesota in the Diamond Devils invitational on Feb 21.Minnesota has improved their program making the Regionals last year.ASU will face their old nemesis Michigan again this year, not once but three times during the nonconference,they will face Michigan twice in the Louisville Slugger invitational on Feb 27 and Mar 1st.
ASU will also open the Judi Garman Classic in Fullerton, Ca on Mar 5 facing Michigan again! ASU will meet Baylor on Mar 6 and close out the Judi Garman Classic playing Auburn & our old coach Clint Myers! ASU will begin Pac 12 play the following week on the road at Seattle facing Washington.
Oregon and UCLA look to be the top favorites to win the Pac 12 with ASU, AZ & Washington right behind them but as you all know anything can happen and the favorites don't always finish on top, so I look for a very competitive Pac 12 this year!
