Certainly was a rough start to the 2015 season but it's kind of early to give up on the season after 7 games! I think the two freshman pitchers will improve as he season goes along and they get more experience.I think the loss of Kelsey will be felt more than I thought because she was the only experience pitcher they had!
Hitting was a disappointment but they only have 3 new starters, the rest started last year and the 3 new starters actually played a lot last season so I think the hitting will improve.Amber & Haley did most of the hitting this weekend but ASU has more talent than just those two players and I feel confident that you will see it as the season goes along!
I still say how the season goes will depend on our pitching, they are freshman and they just have to get experience, they may have to take their lumps along the way but I still say they're talented pitchers.Bre started pretty good until the Texas game, those 3 IP's called on her by the 3rd base ump in the 1st inning got her rattled and threw her off her game,it happens,same thing happened to Popescue up at Eugene last year and she was a senior!
As far as recruiting ASU has commitments from some pretty good softball players all the way up to 2018,so it's not like he's not recruiting quality players.ASU is a young team just need to hang in there and not throw in towel so quickly,now is the time they need support from their fans!
