sometimes a coach does not make the right call. but most of the year, Trish Ford has been solid, and balancing the really, really young pitching staff has been an art, not a science.
based on the records, ASU should have won - I agree. And the gut wrenching loss with 2 outs and the last at bat, etc., in the final game. arg.
I think there was a real issue whether the HR was fair or foul. The horrible video stream from OSU had no chance to allow viewers to see the ball.
I thought I saw ASU coaching staff giving it to the ump on the left field line. Granted, you don't want to have to contest a call like that to win, and in hind sight, bringing in Lopez would have been the right choice, but the team has really exceeded expectations this season.
