I haven’t been this disillusioned in my 50+ years as a season ticket holder. I bought the hype and jumped on the train only to find the tracks were on a bed of sand.
To your point about playing not to get hurt, we got pounded in the Aloha bowl years ago, only to find out agents were in the senior’s ear telling them to protect themselves. With all of the recent NCAA rule changes, you can bet that some of that is what happening now.
I think it is only going to get worse when the season in over. The portal looms as a huge threat in keeping whatever talent is left.
RA got us into this mess and I don’t think he has an inkling on how to get us out of the quagmire that he has us in.
