Remi does a pretty good job finishing. Smaller players that can finished know how to use their bodies to get shots off against the bigs. Too often we have guys who are wide open but slightly out of control putting up "brick" layups.
Agree with kicking the ball out at times but we continue to miss "gimme" layups. In both of our losses this year we all missed dozens of layups. We make half of the "2-footers" we missed and we are undefeated.

: Other than Verge it is mostly little guys getting their shot blocked or bigger guys not controlling their bodies before going back up. The former cannot really be fixed but the latter can. With the former our smaller guards need to be more cognizant of passing the ball when penetrating. The way our guards can take guys off the dribble we should be able to penetrate and dish and within 2-3 passes get an open catch and shoot three. The problem is instead of making the extra pass our guys, especially Edwards, will pump fake, dribble a bit, or take a contested 3.

Players need to spend time every day (on their own) with "finishing" drills. This has been a major issue for us in the past two years and is killing us against inferior opponents.
