: I have been a big fan of the hiring of BH but it looks like he has lost his team. I thought we'd be tough and very competitive with all of our talent but the way this is looking something is wrong. This was our year to shine and create momentum for the future. I just can't understand why we are not a better team.

I already posted *High on Talent. Low on Team* once, so this is 2.0. The basis of Hurleys offense seems to be to run a high weave until switching defenders create a desired mismatch. Then it becomes a team clear out for a player to go one-on-one. But this years team is dominated by freshmen that are used to carrying their HS teams, so everything become a forced one man show. They will not give up a bad possession. That is on Hurley.

ASU can’t win these personal matchups against tall talented opponents like Arizona. Then if Hurley pulls Christopher and Verge for a rest, we ended up with Martin, House and Woods together for long stretches of the game. That is 60% of the floor players averaging under 6-1 180 lbs. It looked like a small high school team. 1-13 3-point shooting in the first half was a killer when your starting center gets only 1 rebound.
