I stopped counting at 12 and that was in the first half. Our shooting percentage has been horrible but that is primarily because we cannot finish around the rim.
In the first 10 minutes we had missed at least 7 layups. Yes, some were contested, but wow! I can always tell how well we are going to shoot the ball based on whether we are finishing at the rim.
I would love to see our shot chart from last night. I'll bet we missed over 15 from a foot away from the rim. This is a fundamentals issue, just like free throws. Players need to spend time every day (on their own) with "finishing" drills. This has been a major issue for us in the past two years and is killing us against inferior opponents.
