interesting take- and you may be right. Frankly, I think Myers was a "wunderkind", based on his immediate and consistent success in a program which had not performed well historically.
the pitching is a specific concern. Even if you have a great rise ball, unless you can keep a team guessing with location, speed and movement, you can't expect to win when you face them 3 times in 2 days. The coaches clearly had a chance to develop Popescue and Escobedo....and having them on the staff probably deterred other recruits from coming.
next year's recruiting class - at least by one rating source - is "ok" - with many PAC teams rated higher.
Nicholson will have to prove himself, and get back to Oklahoma City.
